Local grassroots bouldering competitions are some of the most fun days you can have indoors, so Dave was happy to be invited back to Nottingham’s newest wall to catch up with the NCC team and document their inaugural Spring competition. A supportive atmosphere combined with great setting saw some sterling performances, food was eaten, beer was drunk, raffle prizes were won - good times.

Of course the fun vibe belies the level of focus and attention to detail required of the photographer in order to produce good and stylistically consistent images at an event like this, where you are at the mercy of the crowds, the chalk dust and the ambient lighting. And the little off-the-cuff moments can sometimes yield the sort of images that set the event apart.

Dave also provided online print-on-demand ordering for participants - often a popular addition that gives participants a chance to immortalise their moment of glory (or otherwise) on their own wall at home.
